I have had several problems with my old c band satellite dish. Something else always seems to happen after solving a certain problem. Good information about a c band dish is hard to find.
My latest problem and hopefully my last was 5G interference on c band. First I tried a c band lnb with feed made into it and it did not solve the interference problem. I have one engineer friend who said I needed a band pass filter to solve the 5G interference.
A search for 5G band pass filter turned up items costing several hundreds of dollars a piece. These prices are simply out of my budget. A company named Eagle is now selling c band filters for about 200 dollars a piece. I purchased one of these and have been very proud of it. No more 5G interference!
My engineer friend checked the Eagle filter and said it was both well made and calibrated correctly. He also said the high prices of 5G band pass filters will come down soon. I am glad I did not pay 300 or 400 dollars for a filter when a 200 dollar filter does the job!
