Rochester WROC 8.1

(1/1)

Jorgek:
Coming in real solid this morning.  Its 100 miles due east.  The CM 4221 is pointing due south.  Not bad for off the side.

DrSat:
Usually during good tropo conditions, antenna aim won't matter too much for the Rochester stations as they bounce off Lake Ontario.

A 4 bay antenna such as the 4221 has a fairly wide beam-width as well which also helps in this case. WROC and WXXI are usually the first 2 Rochester stations to come in during tropo conditions as they are on fairly clean channels, especially WROC on RF 45. WXXI on RF 16 is a bit harder to receive though due to CHCH now using RF 15.

Satfan3000:
Being further to the east, I usually get WXXI since CHCH is still a be tricky for me to get it doesn't do that much interfering.

I was just wondering if your signal strength is quite strong from there.

Satfan3000:
In the summer time yes. This time of year I get pretty much nothing from Rochester.
