Bell Canada offers wireless IPTV

(1/1)

joshua minaya:
Canadian telco Bell has introduced new wireless receivers for its IPTV service ‘Fibe TV’, along with a wireless transmitter that can support up to five wireless IPTV receivers.
The new wireless receivers are available for rental at CAD 7 (US$ 7) per month, or can be purchased outright for CAD 199. The Fibe TV wireless transmitter connects to the home modem and works with a user’s Whole Home PVR.
Shawn Omstead, vice president of products for Bell Residential Services, said: “Going wireless means you can watch HD TV anywhere you want in your home – without the hassle of running more cable across floors or through the walls of your house. All you need is a power outlet. Wireless TV is just another example of what Fibe can do that cable can’t.”
